3" DP/TP & 2.5" catback is better than 2.5" DP/TP and 3" catback. The reason is, when the air comes out of the turbos, it's HOT! The bigger the pipe right outside the turbo, the faster the air can expand and cool. As it cools, it then shrinks a little and becomes more dense. That's why 3" DP/TP matter most. By the time it gets out the TPs, it's already cooled a little, so 2.5" cat-back is restrictive, but not as restrictive as the 2.5" DP/TP would be. If you can only afford half the system, start with DP & TP. Greg even makes a 3" TP that funnels into the 2.5" exhaust.
